Course Aims
This course will introduce people to the principles that underpin Person Centred Planning and will also teach you how to use the basic planning ‘tools’ necessary to achieve this..
Designed for
The course is designed for people who have none or only a basic understanding of Person Centred Planning and its principles. It will benefit those who want to put a person or family at the centre of the planning process in a way that is simple and meaningful to the individual and to those who support them..
After the course participants should be able to:
- Understand the principles and values that underpin Person Centred Planning
- Have an understanding of why it is important that Person Centred Planning should be used with people that have a learning disability
- Have confidence in being able to undertake simple plans with people
